Yucky day

Good morning everyone. So it is pretty early in the morning. I figure I, Emerson, would right to you today. To be honest with you, which I pray I will always be, I’m exhausted. Now I am sure my mommy is too, she is the best, as I am sure I’ve told you. She is currently drinking a cup of this thing called coffee, some sort of juice from a brown bean. I’m hanging out in my rocking chair, playing with my activity scarf and watching Daniel Tiger. You do remember that Daniel is my middle name, and that Daniel in the Old Testament was a prophet.

I wanted to share with you my last 24 hours. Let’s just say they have not been very pleasant. One of the hardest things is not being able to speak. Now I do babble, but that is totally just to look cute. Well if you remember I received my 3rd intrathecal chemo session of Thursday with Cytarabine, that is the one that really just gives me the blues. It really does a work to my little body. Often symptoms are seen shortly after or maybe the day after. As you all may have noticed that I play to the beat of my own drum, and my body did not really catch up to be affected until yesterday.  My mom was pretty worried when the night prior I decided to let loose
from both ends, leading us to change for the first of many episodes.

*i think that if their was a laundry service for my mom she would appreciate it ðŸ¤”
From that point on the following occurred:
vomit
changing clothes
fevers: leading to Flu test (turned out negative)
coughing
lots of holding and rocking
                                           ✅vomit again
At this point I have not eaten much, because I keep throwing up. Why exactly do you adults want to know the color or how much? I mean how gross! I feel better after, but during the process  my face turns red and my belly tightness, I do not like it.
Well to make things better my big sister and brother came and we painted turkeys as I’m going to be celebrating my 1st thanksgiving. I sure do miss hanging with Manny and getting squeezed and kissed by Mia. Right now they are wearing their mask to protect me from germs.
I was able to finally take a nap with my daddy after they left. That is always nice because he sings to me. Did you know he has a wonderful voice? I have thrown up at least 5 times by now, which means all those yucky medications have not stayed down.
Finally some guy in a yellow gown came and checked in on me and changed some things around, hoping to make me feel better. Actually come to think of it, everyone coming into my room has yellow gowns, funny things on their faces and blue fingers!

At thus point my fever, is almost 102! My skin feels like it is on fire, and I’m starving as I have not been able to keep anything down. There going to hang that water bag and give me some through my button. Oh yes, they finally listened to my mom and are going to give me medicine through my button for thus hot feeling I have. I heard the nurse say it will take a while because the medicine people have to send for it. I am so tired at this point. I just want to sleep and maybe have a snuggle with my mom or mere-mere, she decided to stay and spend the nights. I can hear her as I whine, she is asking that God heals me and takes away this illness and all my symptoms I am having.

My mom says that there a bible verse that ask for something similar.
"For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord."
Jeremiah‬ ‭30:17‬‬

Though I am small I constantly hear my mother reading from God’s word and she closes her eyes a lot, without sleeping, I am sure she is doing something important. I just know when I am having a day like I had, it’s hard for my mom to see me that way. She often whispers ‘Lord let my child not suffer, place his pain upon me.’ I can only hope that today will be better, as long as I can stop coughing.

Jesus, please let me have a great day. Maybe not feeling hot and take away this cough, please. If you do not mind giving rest to my mother as well, because I sleep better when she is sleeping. I know my illness can be healed and my body restored by you. Amen

  2. Psalms 119: (145) Wholeheartdly I am calling on you; answer me, Lord, I will keep your laws. (146) I am calling on you; save me; and I will observe your instruction. (147) I rise before dawn and cry for help; I put my hope in your word. (148) My eyes are open before the night watches, so that I can meditate on your promise. (149) In your grace, hear my voice; LORD, in keeping with your justice, revive me.

    Lyrics "Revive Me"

Consider my affliction and You Lord deliver me. Great are Your mercies Lord. Revive me, according to Your loving kindness. Revive me, that I may see Your Word. Revive me, oh Lord

You give me understanding, according to Your Word. Great peace for those who seek Your face. My lips shall praise Your name. I rejoice in the treasure of Your keeping power.

Revive me, according to Your loving kindness. Revive me, that I may see Your Word.
    Revive me, oh LORD.
